Considering how expensive accommodation is in la this was perfect for our3 day stay in la but you definitely need a car as it's a long walk to the beach and restaurants of Santa Monica. The travel lodge ticked all the boxes and we were really surprised how clean and new the room was and had a useful little kitchen. We stayed in a room overlooking the courtyard which is definitely the best spot.

attention of the reception staff is the most remarkable thing, they gave us a room upgrade so that we were comfortable with my almost 2 year old baby and they were always super nice. Breakfast is fine for the level of hotel it is, it's no big deal. bed and comfortable room. room had a small kitchen that we didn't use but could have been used and was useful. clean room.
shower water came out warm (and not hot) at times. outside of the hotel is pretty flat and neighborhood where it is located is not picturesque at all, we had a car so that was not a problem. Nevertheless, there are some places to eat in the surroundings. bathroom would need a remodeling because of the old. You could hear noises from other rooms.

I liked the location. Even though it's at the intersection of two streets, we got a room in the middle of the corridor and overlooked the parking lot, so we could rest without any problem. Also, it's a five minute drive from the Santa Monica pier with no traffic. I like the fact that they offer coffee, tea, water and pasta all day long as a courtesy. The room is very spacious and modern style. The bed is very comfortable. The towels are of good quality.
There's little light in the room. few more bulbs would be appreciated, especially near the bathroom mirror. Breakfast is pretty lazy. You either go for cereal and milk or coffee and toast. That's it! so-called juice is a powder, machine that makes pancakes is better off. They're absolutely tasteless. there are some boiled eggs. I guess it doesn't give them any work. I think for $200 a night, breakfast could be better. I'll tie in with the price. It's a high price, Los Angeles and Santa Monica area is very expensive. There's no elevator. For me this is also a drawback, because getting our luggage up is not easy.

The santa monica travelodge is a nice hotel with a super friendly staff. It is not a place to stay a week but its great for 2 or 3 days. There is no pool and its a little expensive but its very clean and the area is nice.

I had a relaxing time at this hotel, enjoying the comfortable king-size bed and the convenient little kitchenette for late-night snacks. The outdoor BBQ area and cozy sun terrace were great spots to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The only minor issue was the breakfast selection, which could have used a bit more variety, but overall, I would highly recommend this place! 🌞

Since we had our (rented) car, the location was good to reach every neighbourhood in town. Anyway, the Big Blue Bus stop is only at a few minutes walk
Breakfast should be improved

The breakfast had a lot of selection, the food was good. All the employees were efficient and extremely friendly. It was just next door to Santa Monica beach, both the family residence and shops/restaurants and trains into LA, absolutely perfect and incredible location overall. Also, Clover Park was 2 km away.
